Description

Experience the sunrise over the river as the fog lifts off the water after climbing directly up the New River Rock Scramble.

Most people go to the New River Junction to cool down in the river and float down the rapids, however you can climb the cliffs that you can see from the river in order to get a bird's eye view.

Park on the side of the road next to the railroad tracks (all 4 wheels have to be off the road otherwise you will get ticketed). Cross the railroad tracks and you will have to go around the large fence then continue to the rocks.

Climb directly up the rocks until you are happy with the view and set up camp!

In order to see the amazing fog go late summer, early fall when the water is hot but the air temperature is cold.
