Spend the Day at Bloods Lake

Salt Lake City, Utah

Description

Added by Dana Tran

Distance: 2 miles roundtripElevation gain: 200 ftEasy to get toVery pretty scenery

At the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, take a scenic mountain drive to an area with many parked cars. Getting to the lake from there, by foot, is extremely easy - it is about a mile walk on dirt/gravel terrain, with lots of wildflowers saying hello! Before you get to the lake, there will be a steep descent over rocks, however.

There is a rope swing on the right (west) side of the lake. The lake itself can be pretty cold on a partly cloudy day, so go on a day that's really sunny and warm! There also tend to be a lot of people at this lake during good weather.
