Be one of the few to ever see Bridge Mountain Arch not from the Zion Canyon floor while it still stands.

Starting at the Canyon Overlook parking lot (Where you also start Pine Creek), descend into the creek bed and barely east is a scramble up to Gifford Canyon. When you get to where a large waterfall would probably be, hike up the right side to a large bowl above the canyon. I consider this one of the hardest parts of the hike. Once above the bowl you will find yourself in sand. The canyon directly west of your exit is the target. Head to the northern part of the bowl below you and once near the bottom scramble up and over some rock into an area that leads directly south and down to the bottom of east/west canyon. Head west out the canyon to Hepworth Wash. Head down the wash (north) and about a half mile down head northwest looking for the couloir to the right of Bridge Mountain. Head up to the saddle of the couloir and then down the north side which is very loose, sticking to the left side. Once it opens up a little you will find the chimney obstacle, a 40 foot climb that can be dangerous if you're not exposed to climbing. Once at the top, ascend this crack system to the top and ride the shelf to the northwest. This can be sketchy. If you find yourself overlooking a sand oasis then descend into it and then once in it head south/southwest. The arch will be dead ahead. Leave the way you came, rappelling the chimney.

Warning, this hike is not for the inexperienced or fainthearted. It can be grueling, especially if you haven't been there before. Navigation can be extremely difficult. There is lots of exposure and plenty of places where one mistake can lead to death or major injury.
