Walk to Aber Falls

Lovely little walk in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales

By: Tori Tanner + Save to a List

The walk from the parking lot to the base of Aber Falls in Abergwyngregyn Nature Reserve is a relaxing one. This is a hike anyone can handle from little children to retired friends looking to get outside in North Wales.

This was my first little hike in Snowdonia, a beautiful place in North Wales I'd heard countless tales about.

The Aber Falls carpark is a few minutes off of the A55. But parking along the gravel path saves you a few pounds on parking.

From the car park, the walk up to the falls takes an average of 2 hours round-trip depending on how long you stop to take pictures, read about different aspects of the region on posts along the path and stay up at the falls. The path takes you along a river flowing from the falls and doesn't increase very much in elevation.

It's a beautiful walk to experience North Wales if you only have a short amount of time or are looking for a warm-up to taking on other parts of Snowdonia.

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
