Distance: 5 miles roundtripElevation gain: 675 ft20 foot waterfallGreat swimming holeGreat hikeWildlifeCliff jumpingMost voluminous waterfall in the park

Abrams Falls is the most voluminous waterfall in the entire park. The waterfall and creek are named for a Cherokee chief whose village once stood several miles downstream. The trailhead parking is located past stop #10 on the Cades Cove Loop Road.

This 5 mile roundtrip hike is moderate and features some steep climbs and drops in the trail. It should take 3-5 hours to complete, depending on how much time you would like to stay at the waterfall. Expect this hike to be semi crowded, especially on busy days. Try to get an early start so you don't get stuck hiking back in the dark. The trail is very easy to follow.
