On the Road to the Swiss Alps' Impressive Rhône Glacier
Nature is changing - do you want to witness global warming from an incredible place? On the road to the Furkapass, you can check out a few beautiful spots and try to think about what we will leave our children.
Wake up early!
In the middle of the Swiss Alps, take the way leading to the Furkapass, which is famous for many reasons. It's connects Gletsch, Valais with Realp, Uri.
Take a look to that awesome little church in Gletsch, a small town that looks pretty spooky during off-season.
That famous Insta-view!
Then you can climb up to the Belvedere Hotel and wait for a golden sunset. This view is more than famous, but you can't miss that good feeling of taking a picture there. Also check out the other side of this abandoned building, the view is very nice as well.
That Rhône Glacier - that panorama!
Opposite to the hotel, you can access to the Rhône Glacier area. Walk a few minutes and you'll have an amazing view! The Rhône starts here and finishes its course in the south of France after 812 kilometers passing through Geneva, Lyon and Avignon, just to name few cities.
Wander but respect!
Early in the morning, and off-season preferably, you may find yourself alone in this scenery. Just a gorgeous feeling. Walk around - be very cautious if you leave the path - and feel the strength of that nature all over. Respect this place - leave not trace!
