Tucked away in the deep forest of Linn Run State Park sits Adams Falls, a scenic end to the rocky Adams Falls Trail.

Linn Run State Park is one of my favorite adventure spots. From the moment you enter the park you are surrounded by tall hemlocks and rhododendrons. Most of the hiking trails run along a stream accompanied by beautiful cottages - a perfect scene for awesome photos.  When entering the park you will see a parking lot, picnic tables, and a small playground on your left. After crossing the small bridge you can park in the lower or upper lots. The upper lot is where the Adams Falls Trail begins.

Adams Falls is very close to the trailhead. Along the path you will encounter a couple of broken down structures that used to be houses. These are really cool spots to explore, just steps off the trail. There isn't a lot of elevation gain, but the loop is extremely rocky. I would highly recommend wearing hiking boots or a sturdy shoe.

At the end of the first half of the loop you will begin to walk along the stream with the cottages. There are some beautiful scenes on your way back to the trailhead, so definitely have your camera ready if you like to take photos.

Linn Run is a family-friendly park. There are picnic tables, grills, and easily accessible parking lots everywhere. If you have some friends or family that enjoy exploring as much as you do, invite them along for the journey. You can make it a day trip or even make a long weekend out of it.
