Description
Added by Andrew Deitrick
A quiet, romantic spot for a casual beach hike that provides incredible sunset views of the ocean, wildlife, cave-access, and even features a historic lighthouse.
There is a small parking lot right next to the beach at the intersection of 3rd St and Meares Ave (see map). Parking here gives you the option of walking north towards the bay and tip of the peninsula, or south towards the lighthouse and Pyramid rock.
If you time your trip during low tide, you can access a series of small caves that are perfect for fishing and crabbing. The southern part of the beach is home to a number of beautiful rocks that are perfect furniture for watching the sun fall into the ocean.
If you'd like to just go up to see the lighthouse, you can park at the lighthouse parking here: https://www.google.com/maps/di...
