On a gorgeous sunny Saturday afternoon we made the 2 hour drive down the beautiful Clackamas River to the Ollaie region in the Cascades between Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson to explore some of the 200 lakes that reside at 5,000ft in this old growth forest. We found the perfect spot. Horseshoe Lake was ours for the night. Protip: It’s early in the season, so the mosquitos were pretty bad up there.
