Description

This is a great river hike, where you will climb up 3 waterfalls and then hike up to a gazebo with a great overlook. The trail then loops back down to the trail head.

When you arrive to the park you'll drive up a hill and park in the parking lot. If you're driving south, the entrance will be on your right. Head directly to the treeline left of the parking lot and you'll see wooden stairs heading down to the river. Just start walking up the river until you get to the first waterfall. It's not very steep so you shouldn't have a problem going right up it (I do this hike barefoot in it's entirety) but it can be slippery without easy places to get footing so watch your step. Keep heading up the river, and the second waterfall is also fairly small and has better rocks to use for steps. By the time you get to the third one, you will notice that it is too big/vertical to climb up directly, so on the left side climb up the hill and you'll be able to walk along a rock ledge on the left side of the waterfall. The ledge is narrow but certainly walkable, so just hug the wall and shimmy over to the top of the waterfall. This is a great chill spot at the top. Almost right after you get to the top there will be a trail to the right that goes up into the woods, so get out of the river and hike up to a gazebo with a beautiful overlook. Keep on that trail and it will get you right back down to the parking lot you started from. This is a beautiful creek hike that anyone can do, and you don't have to climb the 3rd waterfall if it's too sketchy, but you'll have to go back down the other two otherwise!
