Amazing views of red rocks, and desert landscape. Petroglyphs seen in many areas throughout the park. Desert wildlife. The stars at night are insane!

Valley of Fire is a state park located about 45 miles northeast of Las Vegas, NV. A great day trip and there's camping too. The campsites are first come first served, and walk-in. We got there at 2pm on a Saturday and there were still spots available. The campgrounds don't feel like typical car camping, there's a feel of seclusion because you're nestled in the giant red rocks. There's plenty of little scenic trails throughout the park, no real difficult trails here, but plenty of photo ops. This is definitely a place to see if you happen to be near Las Vegas and want to get away from all the tourists. Did I mention the views? There's also plenty of petroglyphs along many of the trails.
