Description

Added by Allie Rippe

This is an incredible hike just outside of Glacier National Park. It's way less crowded than some of the park hikes and provides some breathtaking views. It is very steep and not for the faint of heart. Worth the climb!

This is a 8 mile out and back hike, with the first couple of miles gaining most elevation in the trees. Once you get above the tree line, you are on a ridge walk for a couple of miles to the summit. The ridge provides incredible 360 degree views. The true summit lies at about 8705 feet and you gain a total of 4400 in the 4 miles to the top. This hike is pretty steep, not for the faint of heart.
