Stop by this great spot right in the heart of the Upper Peninsula wilderness

Outside of Agate, MI, this spot is a couple of miles west of the town on MI-28. With parking on the side of the road, follow the main path under the bridge to reach the wooden walkway to the overlook. If you'd like to see the falls from above, before the walkway, there is a path up the hill that can lead you to old railroad tracks above the falls. Don't worry, they are covered by plastic and additional sheeting.

Once you reach the overlook, you should be able to see some walked paths outside of the wooden barriers. Follow the paths of what others have done before. the hill is steep, and not recommended for anyone nursing an injury or uncertain of their ability to get down. Once you reach the bottom, the falls are there. The stones in the river aren't too bad to walk across, but water shoes would be a good idea. The water across the river was ankle to knee deep.
