The observatory has wonderful views of LA and the coloring of the area around sunset is perfect for pictures

You can get spectacular views and pictures of the Coliseum from the surrounding area, you don't even have to step inside to experience the building's glory

This is a beautiful fountain and popular destination for many visiting Rome. Very crowded - get your pictures and then hustle into one of the many gelato places in the area!

Rome has so much history and culture - be sure to explore where much of Western civilization began.

As the title says, this is an iconic and historical place in Rome. Because of this, though, it is likely to be very crowded with tourists

You can run or bike on this pathway - it's very beautiful, especially in the area that parallels Roosevelt Island.

Hike to the lake and then walk a little further into the field - if you're there in the summer, you can eat wild blueberries directly off of the vine. This is a beautiful spot in Acadia, don't miss it!

Seeing a lighthouse in Maine is a feat - climb on rocks to see this one during the sunset.

This is so fun because of the thrill associated with walking on land untouched during high-tide. A short walk away from Bar Harbor, be sure to take advance of this advantage if you happen to be around during low-tide!

The Atlantic is notoriously cold in New England - stop here after a hike to cool down. There are several hikes in the area including on the rocks that run perpendicular to the beach.

Very beautiful views from this point, is also tends to be packed around when the sun begins to set - which is kind of refreshing to see how much people appreciate the outdoors.

This is a beautiful spot for looking upon Montreal. Definitely worth the trip.

The landscape here is striking. A beautiful part of the California coast, be sure to stop at Point Reyes.

This area is also commonly referred to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon because of how beautiful it is - it's definitely a worthwhile trip! Before your hike, stop by the visitor center at the top of the gorge for incredible views looking down onto the river. And yes, you will see lots of birds!

There are lots of options for getting out onto the water in this area, including kayaking in the Bay or the River further north off of Shelter Island

I did this nearly 10 years ago and still remember it. Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling in the area as there is much wildlife and flora to see.

You can't miss a Florida Keys sunset, they're incredible! This one is particularly beautiful.

Walking around Petra will remind you of how incredible humans can be. After taking in the amazing man-made structures, walk around as there are several hikes in the area that lead to great views! Be sure to talk to the Bedouins that still inhabit or work the land, they are not only hospitable but probably have words of wisdom to impart on you in one way or another.

Sugarloaf Mountain also offers a beautiful hike with wonderful views of the Catskills.
