Culver City Stairs make for a killer cardio workout in a beautiful outdoor setting. 282 uneven stairs will make your knees shake and the views from the top at sunset are awesome.
The Culver City Stairs are an outdoor staircase designed into the trails leading up to the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. This particular staircase is uniquely constructed to blend into the landscape and is comprised of 282 uneven stairs. The stairs vary in height from 3 inches to nearly 2 ft...so if you're a little shaky, be sure to take your time. The people working out here are courteous and polite, so don't worry about rushing. There is also a winding trail that you can take to the top. It's also a nice way to add a little variety to your stair workout.
The parking at the bottom of the stairs along Jefferson Blvd. is free, and there's plenty of space. It can get hot, so we advise going in the early morning or evening. Tip: Arrive about an hour before sunset and take in a stunning post-workout view.

Culver City Stairs Reviews
Great workout! I’ve done this running up the stairs and climbing it while baby wearing. I usually go uo the stairs and back down the trail. It can get very crowded, so go early in the morning if possible. Street parking along Jefferson at the base of the stairs

Did not run this as title states, I walked it instead. If you can run it, kudos to you! I only gave this three stars because it can get quite busy at certain times of the day. There’s only so many traffic jams I could take while living in LA.

My cousin took me here for a workout while visiting, and let me say, it was tough! Be ready for lots of stairs and a high cardio workout.

used to do this on my lunch hour, you can choose the stairs, a switchback route, or walk up a paved road. Or, choose your combination of the three. on Claire days, it’s a great view of Los Angeles

If you're not one for crowds, you probably won't want to bother with this hike. Parking is usually pretty easy on Jefferson Blvd, there's bathrooms at the pavilion at the top of the hill, and it's well located within the city... so 5 stars for all of that. The 3 stars is because there are always tons of people climbing the stairs - you constantly have to wait for people to pass, avoid children or people casually strolling (if you're doing a workout or a hike), and the stairs are relatively short. You can be at the top pretty quickly. It's definitely a great workout if you want to go up and down several times, but you'll definitely be dodging people on your way.
