Beartooth Highway starts near this KOA in south-central Montana. Called "the most beautiful drive in America" by Charles Kuralt, it winds for 69 miles past glaciers and alpine lakes in Montana and Wyoming to Yellowstone National Park. Link up with Chief Joseph Scenic Highway and make your way back to Red Lodge. With its 12,000-foot peaks and 70-mile views, this loop is one of the most popular and challenging routes in the U.S. At KOA, choose a Tent Site or one-room Cabin along a sparkling stream. In Red Lodge, renovated 1880s mining buildings house gift shops, galleries and restaurants. Celebrate July 4th with the Home of Champions Rodeo & Parade.
