Pond Site Paradise

Warren, Maine

Working farm raising organic vegetables and cranberries. We are 45 minutes from Unity, ME, home of the Common Ground Fair

Our campsite sits in a meadow near 2 small ponds. The farm road is terrific for hiking / mountain biking over fields where there are ancient apple trees and old foundations. You will cross small streams and continue into quiet woods where you can hear the Ruffed Grouse drumming for its mate. Nearby is North Pond where we have a private beach for swimming and kayaking. And you can see our restored "historic" cranberry bog (the oldest one recorded on a deed in the state of Maine) Within a mile of the farm, you will find Beth's Farm Market and Beaver Dam Farm ... both noted for really good vegetables, fruits, flowers and baked goods. - Easy day trip to Rockland to visit the Farnsworth Art Museum and Wyeth Center - Hop on a ferry to Monhegan Island
