Description

Added by Kelly Sharp

Avoid the crowds of Tahoe - a 10 minute drive from South Lake to explore some easy trails, abandoned old ranch, and West Fork of the Carson River

Picketts Junction is where 88 runs into 89 about 10 minutes outside of Tahoe. There are many places to pull over and explore. The small fork of the Carson River is beautiful with small trails to explore. Perfect little break from a road trip/fun walk with kids. There is an abandoned ranch/barn area.

More of a stroll and you can make it what you want.
