Broke Girl Does America: Missoula

Whoops I stayed here a whole week!

By: Kenzie Farrell + Save to a List

Like all great laid plans mine have went to crap. Instead of climbing and camping in Bozeman some things went haywire for my friend down there and I have stayed in Missoula all week. Day two (after a night of a strangers birthday and some bars) we scooted up to Glacier National Park! Now 15 miles in the Road to the Sun is closed and while that is a bummer being in my second new National Park in a week made up for that.

Slipped in a short mile ish hike around a river and got several lovely pictures at Lake Mcdonald. Either way it was beautiful.

Two day we stopped by a drive through voting booth, a drive through Krispy Kreme and then headed into Idaho to hike into some hot springs for the day. Now! Hot tip! You ever want to be happy on a regular basis you should probably find a friend who will drive you to Idaho with boxed wine and then swim in some natural outdoor hot springs until you're very sleepy and dirty. I would gladly do it every day. I don't need money, my gas tank can have it. For that we went to Clearwater National Forest at the Jerry Hot Springs. The original plan was the more "hip" "less popular" Weir Springs but Idaho was against us and the trail was closed for maintenance. It's fine, my hot puddle was just as good as the others.

Day three to day now I have been just checking out town and crying over the election, it's about 2pm and if I get a move on I should be at the Oregon coast by midnight. Wish me luck! I swear I'll get better at story telling by next week.
