missing summer hikes right about now...

Mount Adams

By: Jen Fuhrman + Save to a List

This is one of my newly discovered spots from the summer. I branched out to many new hikes. This was an unmarked trail that I just had to follow. It is not easy to put in words how beautiful and peaceful this backcountry is for me. I could have stayed there all day. Just rolling hills that go on for miles. This is Mount Adams in front of me. Mount Hood was easy to make out to it's right, along with stumpy st. Helens of course. Always a good day when you get to see all the major mountains in the pnw. Rainier was shining in all its glory behind me, still my #1 of course. This was a hot summer day, once you reach this open area, the wind sure hits you. I'd love to do a little backpacking around this trail and maybe even camp out. The silence can't be beat back here. If you need to clear your head, this is sure the place to do so.
