Mountain Bike at Brown County State Park

Nashville, Indiana

Description

Added by John Clairmont

Fourteen biking trails weaving through wooded, hilly terrain in this beautiful state park in south-central Indiana.

Brown County State Park is made for mountain biking. There are literally more mountain biking designated trails than there are hiking trails, though you can hike on the mountain biking trails if you're aware of your surroundings and willing to jump out of the way for bikers.

At the time of publishing this adventure, there are 4 beginner trails, 4 intermediate trails, 3 advanced trails, and 3 expert trails. They range from 1.2 miles to 5.0 miles long, and many of them are loops or can be combined to create a loop.

You will need to pay to enter the park, but the cost is on a per-vehicle basis, includes a map, and the pass lasts all day. I recommend starting early to make the most of it since you can leave for lunch and return.

You can also go HERE for a PDF map or visit the Brown County State Park website for maps and other information.

While in the area, you should also check out Hard Truth Distilling Co, they've got amazing food, drinks, and even offer tours!
