Exploring Death Valley National Park

Hiking and camping in (my opinion) the most underrated National Park: Death Valley

By: Grace Lawrence + Save to a List

WILDROSE PEAK

Wildrose Peak Hike: We did the 8 mile hike to the top of Wildrose Peak. It was over a 2,000 ft elevation gain but an absolutely stunning view. It was a tough hike but definitely worth it. Plus the air is cooler up at the top, a welcomed escape from the heat. These photos are from the drive in/out from the trailhead, a gravel road through the mountains.

SAND DUNES

Sand Dunes: In the middle of the park, at the lowest elevation, is miles of sand dunes. There are no trails, just seemingly endless dunes to explore. It's the hottest part of the park and absolutely gorgeous. Red mountains lay in the backdrop as you climb up and down the dunes. Stunning.
