Heading to Panther Creek Falls, a trail winds through dense forest to take you past a series of waterfalls until you reach the final destination in the Chattahoochee National Forest.
Park at the Panther Creek Recreation Area. The fee to park here is $4. There is extra parking alongside the road if the parking lot is full.
The trail begins opposite the parking area, noted by a wooden sign. The trail gains elevation here and there with several drop-offs secured by cable cord fences.
At 3.5 miles, you will reach Panther Creek Falls where the water flows into a large pool. Here, there is a large camping spot with flat ground, two fire pits made of stones around the area, and trees dispersed throughout the site (great for hammocks, slack lines, and clothes lines).
Head home to the trail head by following the same trail back or camp at one of the primitive campsites along the trail.

Panther Creek Falls Reviews
I went there on a nice 80 degree Saturday. There were a lot of people. The waterfall itself it's really pretty but it was sad to see all the trash & just how people don't seem to care about the natural beauty of this place. There was so much trash all over the trail. I also noticed that there are no camping spots so people just set up camp in whichever place they want & start fire pits all over. That's vary detrimental for the land & you can see the misuse of this park. I wish people would take care of cute hidden gems like this place.
