Description

Added by Ryan Noeker

Picturesque 4.9 mile (round-trip) hike through a water-filled valley to one of Georgia's most popular waterfalls, Raven Cliff Falls. Enjoy the sound of nature, waterfalls, and a fast running trout stream as you hike to the 400ft main fall(s).

This hike begins at a gravel parking lot off of GA 348, just past the entrance for an easy 1 mile paved hike to Dukes Creek Falls.

This area is very popular for groups, locals, campers, and people just looking for an amazing day hike to enjoy their weekend. Hiking along the fast moving stream, you cross multiple wooden bridges and climb up some pretty 'slippery-when-wet' trails. You begin at about 2250 ft in elevation and hit a peak of 2650 ft about half way through the hike to the main falls. The trail has many backpacking campsites throughout, the most popular ones coming in the first mile of the trail. The campsites are minimalistic with the only traces left behind are fire-pits from previous campers. Enjoy this for a day hike, a place to walk the dog, a weekend camping trip, or something to experience the outdoors while getting a workout in; this hike and view will not disappoint!
