Description

This is a gorgeous hike right outside of Helen, Georgia that descends down a mountain to two waterfalls.
You begin this adventure by driving up a mountain. It is important that you have 4 wheel drive as the road is rough and you have to cross a creek. Once you reach the entrance to the trail, you can park on the side of the mountain. The trail descends down through gorgeous dirt switchbacks surrounded by huge pine trees. You will cross over a creek and eventually reach the first fall. Take your time and jump in for a swim. You can jump off from the top of the water, or slowly get in the swimming hole at the bottom. Beware, it's freezing! Don't forget to continue the hike to the bottom of the trail to the last waterfall. You won't be disappointed. Good luck on the hike back up!
