Who am I?

The man behind the camera and adventure

By: David Gallo + Save to a List

Hey guys! I'm a self-taught photographer from Connecticut, USA. My photography manifests from my unique perspective on life, emphasizing the importance of living authentically and in the present; embracing the beauty around us. The unconventional life I have lived, and struggles I've endured, has lead to my understanding of what is truly important. I hope to pursue happiness through travel and adventure with my camera in hand. My work reflects my passion for nature and genuine moments; inspiring viewers to experience life differently and more purely.

Many think by looking at my social media platforms, and the persona I choose to perpetuate, that I live a glamorous life full of adventure, travel, and exotic locations. This is not always true. My life is not always beautiful and exciting; in fact often it is very boring and sometimes painful. I have a genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis that primarily affects the pulmonary and GI systems. I face daily adversity that gives me an appreciation for life and motivates me to live authentically. I want to explore what I can, when I can, and I'm always searching for the next adventure. I enjoy discovering new places and challenging myself physically. I've traveled to places such as the Galapagos Islands, Norway, Israel, and New Zealand (to name a few) in pursuit of adventure and genuinely beautiful landscapes and moments. Please check out my website (http://www.davidmgallo.com/) and feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!

Cheers,

David
