One of my favorite snowshoeing trails in RMNP, a lot of fun and a good challenge.

Starting from the bear lake trailhead, you'll take a right for just a few hundred meters and you will find a sign with a map on it. Use this map to help you get going onto one of the main trails that also goes towards Bierstadt lake. About a half mile into this trail it will split, and you will take a left following the Flattop Mountain sign.Follow this trail to the top, but be careful to stay on it especially in snowstorms because it can get confusing. I suggest snowshoeing on a nice snowy day. This will make for small crowds and awesome pictures. Although, you will not really get a good view at the top. When we reached the top it was pretty much white out conditions, but on a clear day Flattop has some awesome views. Get out your snowshoes and have some fun!
