I wasn't too sure what to expect. We headed out at 9:00 am, and arrived around 10:00 am (stopping for coffee on the way).
The parking lot was pretty full, but lots of folks coming and going for the off-leash dog park across the street. If you bring a dog, be prepared for people letting their pups run freely while they're on the way to the off-leash park.
We took Meadow View Trail (1.0 mi), to the Bergen Peak Trail (2.7 mi), to Bergen Peak (1.0 mi).
About two-thirds of the way up the Bergen Peak Trail, we hit a patch of aspens just starting to change in color. At the top of Bergen Peak, there were clear panoramic views of the surrounding scape, and Mt. Evans.
A fantastic storm rolled in on our way down, and there was just enough beautiful foliage to keep semi-dry! Gorgeous granite and rocks to look at along the way up.
