About this place

Boulder your way up to El Pueblito, a small indigenous village in the Tayrona National Park.

There are several ways to master this hike, as a point to point hike from the main road or as as out and back solution. I will describe e point to point hike from El Cabo out to the main road.

The hike starts right in El Cabo de San Juan. After a 5 minutes walk on flat terrain, the boulders are starting and won't stop before you reach El Pueblito after 2.5km. It took an hour to get up there, it's good fun, but take into consideration the heat! Once up there you can visit the indigenous village that is still inhabited.

You can now either walk back down the boulders to El Cabo or you decide to continue. In this case turn right at the intersection and follow the paved road. This path will guide you out of the village. This part of the hike has an actual hiking path that brings you the next 5km up and down over the hill and back down to the main road.

There is also the option to take the turn to Playa Brava if you prefer to continue that route. You can certainly also start your hike the other way around and hike from the main road to El Pueblito and go down the boulders to El Cabo where you hit the beach for a refreshing swim.
