Seirus Hellfire Heated Mitts Review

Keep your hands toasty with heated mittens that last for up to 9-hours!

By: Chris Engelsman + Save to a List

Cold hands can make any winter day a miserable experience, but Seirus’ Hellfire Heated Mitts are a salvation!  These battery-powered mittens can last up to 12-hours on a low temp with a full charge. There are three heat settings, low, medium, and hot; but honestly, I found that the low temp setting was perfect while I spent hours in the snow and cold in Lyngen, Norway which is north of the Arctic Circle.

The gloves come with a handy case to store the mitts and charger when not in use, and the batteries are placed within the cuff - easy to access via a zipper and charge each night quickly. The warming element is turned on via a button on top of the glove. Simply hold the button down for a couple of seconds, and it illuminates a green light, the lowest temp. Press the button again for an orange glow and medium temp. Press it again to change the light to red, the hottest temp with shortest battery life. According to Seirus, their Hellfire Mitts last 4-hours at the highest temp, but honestly, the low temp was fine, and they would last me all day.

Is there a downside to heated gloves? One could argue that the batteries weigh more than tradition mitts or gloves, but that’s a small price to pay for all-day heat and warm hands when spending long days outside in the winter. The only other drawback was the green light can be hard to see in bright light, but it’s easy to know if the gloves are heating since your hands will be nice and toasty.

Pick up a pair; you won’t regret it!
