Review: Eureka Spire LX Camp Stove

The Eureka Spire LX is an outdoor camp stove that allows you to cook delicious meals when camping.

By: Chris Engelsman + Save to a List

Imagine waking up as the sun peaks over the horizon - that magical moment in the morning when birds start chirping, and the world comes alive. It’s time to wake up, fire up the stove, and cook a delicious breakfast to fuel your day.

The Eureka Spire LX is the larger version of their Spire camp stove. The Spire LX model can accommodate pans up to 10” and 12” side-by-side; perfect for cooking your eggs and sausages at the same time! The Spire LX has a rotary dial ignition, so you don’t need a lighter to start the flame, but you will need to turn the burners on to their max output. The simmer control knob takes about 4.5 turns for the stove to be at the max 10,000 BTUs.

The high-output 10,000 BTU burners have JetBoil’s simmer control. So, you can adjust the output to your desired setting whether you are putting a sear on a steak or want a low even heat for cooking pancakes. In addition to the Eureka Spire LX having JetBoil’s simmer control, you can also daisy chain stoves together using one power source to create the ultimate kitchen stadium!

The Spire LX is constructed of rugged steel with rubber bumpers on the corners and non-slip rubber feet on the bottom to protect against movement on slippery surfaces. The cooking grate is made of durable nickel-plated steel.

It’s a breeze to clean up the Eureka Spire LX camp stove. Due to its removable nickel-plated steel cooking grate and removable top lid. Also, the side windscreens can fold outward to quickly clean the camp stove after you’ve cooked a delicious feast.

The packed up dimensions of the Spire LX camp stove are 22” wide x 13” deep x 4.5” high and weighs only 10.75 pounds (not including the propane canister). The top lid is secured to the main chassis by a metal clip and has a handy cut-out on the bottom to easily carry the camp stove from place-to-place.
