Description

Added by Abby MacGillivray

A hike to a secluded sandy beach and a fascinating wetland known as a fen. Here you can find a variety of plants that grow only in this type of habitat. An extension of the trail at the end of the beach leads to Finlay Bay (an additional 4 km return). The lake is a very refreshing place for swimming, so bring your bathing suit! The beach is a perfect place for a picnic.

Beginning off of HWY 587, hike 4.5 km following the blue trail markers to Middlebrun Bay. The trail continues on the opposite side of the bay, where you can hike a further 2 km to access Finlay Bay.
