Exploring Brandywine Falls
Whistler, British Columbia
Description

• 70 foot waterfall• Lake views• Rainforest environment• Short day hike
Brandywine Falls Provincial Park is one of the gems located on the Sea to Sky Highway. After a short walk, you find yourself standing near the top of Brandywine Falls. With a 70-meter drop, Brandywine is nothing short of breathtaking. If you carry along the trail you will see beautiful valley views of Daisy Lake and Black Tusk.
For those that crave an adventure, there is a steep, hidden path that cuts down the mountain to the bottom of the falls. Following the trail past the last viewpoint, you will find yourself in a small clearing, with a path down the rock on your right side. Down some rope and across a boulder field, the trail picks back up and meanders through the lush rainforest of British Columbia. This brings you to the main event.
Dropping 70 meters, the falls provide you with a heavy spray, proving refreshing on warm summer days. On a sunny day you can enjoy the light playing off the water, creating beautiful rainbows near the base. The parking lot to base of the falls is a mere 30 minutes, making it perfect for a short fall hike, or a great place to hang out on a summer day.
