Grab a rod and hook a fish - seriously, this type of fishing is really exciting! Head out at sea to catch yourself some fresh cod for dinner. And lunch. And dinner again.

There are many great deep sea fishing boats in PEI, and the tour at New London Wharf is no exception. The driver takes you out at sea first to catch mackerel to use as bait for later hooking some cod. The fish are plentiful and easy to catch, already turning this into a fun day for everyone on board. After that you head deeper to try your luck at some cod.

Park in the public parking lot and head down the wharf to the New London Wharf Deep Sea Fishing building. A tour will cost you $30-$40 a person depending on your age. Permits are covered by the tour, and the boat operator will give you as much fish as you are allowed (or you catch) at the end.

Dress for the weather, it can be windy and cold out on the water. I recommend bringing some snacks and drinks as well. The whole experience will take a couple hours, and no past fishing experience is required. Fishers of all ages aboard our boat caught cod and took it home!
