If you are a hiker, this is a relatively easy trail. The rock actually looks like an eagle with its wings outspread.

Amazing Eagle Rock (June 24, 2019) - Eagle Rock is a formation in southern California near Warner Springs. Unlike some formations, this is immediately recognizable as an Eagle. It is on the Pacific Crest Trail in San Diego County. You can use this video as a guide to the trail. I mention all of the places where you need to pick a direction to go, or path to follow. It is 3.2 miles each way, with a total elevation gain of 900 feet. The area can get very hot in the summer. Only the first 40% of the trail has any shade. So be extra careful during hot weather. There is free parking at the Warner Springs Community resource Center. The trail head is immediately next to the CalFire Station on State Route 79.
