Cookout at Sycamore Cove Beach

9000 Pacific Coast Highway, California

Description

Added by Charlie Jasper

A small beach in the far reaches of Malibu provides a beautiful view to a fun cookout, but get there early!

If you ever wanted to see dolphins and seals playing and feeding in the surf while getting ready to barbecue, this is the spot for it. Whether you want some summer rays or some of our wicked wacky winter weather, Sycamore Cove will deliver. Usually isolated enough to keep large crowds away, this little slice of heaven is perfect for small to medium-sized groups (12 or so people) to head up and do some surf-n-turf. Or actual surfing! It's also pretty rustic, with vault bathrooms, but with flowing water. Speaking of, use that water to put out your barbecue when you're done. The area is almost always at high-risk for wildfires, and with the recent burns over there, we don't want to add insult to injury!
