Get away from the hustle of the Bay Area - incredible views of San Francisco, the bay, and the Pacific - also some secret/secluded beaches and batteries! Explore the abandoned WWII batteries scattered throughout the hillsides

Easy parking in a paved lot next to bathrooms, beach, showers, and trail head. Parking Lot Coordinates: 37°49'56.1"N 122°32'22.8"W

Views are amazing! This is a pretty popular spot, but there is almost always room to park. The trail head starts at the gate where the road dead ends. There are lots of different trails to get up the hill (Hill 88 is the biggest hill in the area with abandoned military base at the top). Start at the gate - it doesn't matter which trail you take - they all intertwine - just keep going up! Eventually you'll get to some man made steps and then a very old paved section that has a steep incline to the top of the hill.

On your way up/down, make sure you explore the batteries - there are sweet views!

Rodeo Beach is a black sand beach and is a great place to enjoy a snack after the hike.

Check the weather beforehand because it could be rainy and windy or sunny and hot all in one day.
