Spend the Day at Sandy Cay

Great place to spend the day.
This small island is a great place to spend the day. When you get to the island there are mooring balls to tie up to, but they are day only and you can not spend the night. You will have to swim, kayak, or take a small dingy into the island, you can't boat to the beach. The beach is gorgeous, and a great place to relax and swim. I would definitely recommend taking food and towels for a picnic. If you're a hammock person there are some greatly spaced and placed palm tress you sound use. If you want to hike there is a trail around the island that is not very long. Its goes through vegetation and open areas on ridges. Along the trail watch out for crabs they are everywhere. Respect the island as it is a country protected island and we get the privilege to use it.
If you're looking into a trip to the islands and want a boat because this spot and every other island are only accessible by boat I would recommend you look into MarineMax Vacations. They have a great selection of trips and boat sizes. If you work with MarineMax vacations they partner with Sail Caribbean divers and through them you have the option to rent kayaks and paddle boards along with dive gear. Its a very easy way to get all your stuff though one company and it will be waiting on the boat when you get there. I recommend this company and have used them before, its a great way to see the islands and great spots like this.
If renting a boat isn't your thing and you stay on land there are also water taxis so you can still get out on the water. Almost any water taxi will take you here but i recommend dolphin shuttle, they again are good company I have used and liked.
