Roxy Ann Peak

A quick huff up a local hill.

By: Brandon Ferreira + Save to a List

Roxy Ann Peak has always been a popular spot for joggers, hikers, and locals in general.

The trail is only moderately difficult so anyone, including children and pets, would be able to handle it with ease. The trail turns from paved road, to gravel, to dirt trails as you gain a total of 1,000 feet in elevation.

This 4-mile loop hosts a variety of beautiful views of Mt. McLoughlin and Mt. Ashland as well as the table rocks that tower over the valley. Even more beautiful, is the flourishing wildflowers that can be seen if you visit in the proper seasons.

Those looking for a more difficult hike will have no problem finding it with numerous chances to cut up the hill instead of using the man made switchbacks.

Tips:

This is a relatively easy hike for most people, hiking boots aren't even required unless you are looking to go off trail. The top things I would suggest are:

  • Good shoes or boots
  • Plenty of water
  • A snack
