Chasin Waterfalls Part 1 - Rutledge Falls Tullahoma, TN

Rutledge Falls

By: Billy Carroll + Save to a List

Rutledge Falls is located on private property between Manchester & Tullahoma, TN.  The sign states it is open from dusk to dark and a few rules...no guns, booze, & other common sense stuff.  There is a small parking area across from the church and the trail head is nearby.  I am a newby hiker but I think this would be considered a "easy" trail for most although there is a bit of a rocky descent to the falls.  From parking I was at the falls in 5 minutes.  From the base of the falls I went down stream a bit and found several photo opportunities.  The base of the falls is deep & cold.  My time was cut short due to a small group of young adults who were loud, obnoxious, and drunk.  I wanted to explore more but thought it best to return another day.  All in all (except for the last 30 minutes) it was an enjoyable and beautiful place.  I look forward to returning!
