Spend the day bodysurfing, boogie boarding, or parasailing at Orange Beach, right on the Alabama/Florida state line.

Orange Beach is roughly 7 miles long and features many public beach access areas; I parked at the Gulf State Park Cotton Bayou Beach Access area. This small beach area is found at the intersection of Highway 182 and Highway 161, nestled between some of the most popular condominiums in the area. There are restrooms, outdoor showers, and ample free parking on site. The beach is easily accessible and close to many good food joints (I recommend the Shrimp Basket and Kayden's Candy Factory on Perdido Beach Blvd).

Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent from 9:00-5:00. Just ask one of the attendants on the beach or call (251) 948-3757 for any questions or concerns regarding beach rentals.

Each of us is responsible for protecting and preserving our beaches, and the city of Orange Beach strives to provide a safe, clean, family-friendly environment for everyone visiting. For more information on the Leave Only Footprints Campaign, please visit CleanIsland.org for some tips for enjoying our coast responsibly, along with some rules, regulations, and resources.

Bodysurf at Orange Beach Reviews

Orange Beach is an awesome strand west of Pensacola on the Florida Border. The beaches are often less crowded and more family friendly.

This is a public beach, so you don't have to stay at an expensive beach hotel to access this gem. I bodysurfed there the day that I went, but I want to go back to parasail next time!
