Soak in Wild Willy's hot springs

Wild Willy's Hot Spring, United States

Description

Added by Kristen May

These picturesque natural hot springs with beautiful views of the sierras are the perfect place to unwind after a long hike. They are located not far from the east entrance of Yosemite, making them easily accessible to anyone traveling in that area.

Wild Willy's hot springs are a group of hot springs just off of 395 in the eastern sierras of California just outside of Mammoth Lakes. A dirt road easily driven by even a 2WD car will lead you to a 0.25 out and back boardwalk trail to the pools. The pools range in temperature and size so be sure to test the water before entering.

Since these springs are not far from the east entrance of Yosemite and are nearby a lot of other attractions in the area they can get crowded, especially on weekends.

These springs are perfect for a day after hiking in the sierras and are surrounded by beautiful views as far as you can see.

If you desire extending your stay, there is dispersed camping at these springs as well. There are no facilities in the area so you must pack in and out your trash as well as properly dispose of human waste.
