6 Most Adventurous Activities In India To Explore In 2019

Adventures in life makes it worth living. High mountain peaks, jungles, rafting in the river are some of the most fascinating and adventurous activities that will add thrill to life. So, what’s on your travel list for the year 2019? If you haven’t planned it yet, here are some of ideas for an adventurous trip to India.

1. Chadar Trek in Ladakh

Chadar Trek is one of the most thrilling trek in India. Here you have the amazing experience of walking over the frozen river full of challenges. The trek opens only during the winter season i.e. January and February. During this time, Zanskar River, Ladakh freezes and is completely covered with thick layer of snow. The trek difficult and the height reaches up to 11,000 feet. Beginners and first time trekkers would find it extremely challenging to walk on Chader. So, if you have never done a trek, Chadar Trek is not recommended for you.

 

2. Scuba Diving in Andaman

It is so amazing to dive into the deep clean water and get closer to the marine life. Andaman is one such wonderful place, where you can magically explore the underwater life. It is once in a lifetime experience one must have. Getting closer to the world below the water, interacting with scorpion fish, Octopus, Sharks, coral Reefs and many more water habitants is thrilling. The Wall (Havelock Island), Clinque Island (Port Blair) and Fish Rock (Passage Island) and some of the best Scuba diving spots in Andaman. During the first half of the year, the island remains calm, which makes it Ideal for diving. 

3. White River Rafting in Rishikesh

When it comes to rafting in India, Rishikesh is the first place that comes to the mind. River rafting in Rishikesh simply stands out. It is done at the speed of Grade I-V in the holy river Ganges. The boat is accompanied by professional rafters in order to ensure the safety of the riders. While you hold your breath in the rafting boat, green lusting Himalayas in the surroundings mesmerizes your ride. Rafting is available to start from Brahmpuri (to Rishikesh or NIM beach), Shivpuri, Kaudiyala and Marine drive. While you are in Rishikesh, you may also take Bungee Jumping to add more to your adventurous trip. River Rafting in Rishikesh is available round the year except Monsoon (July-August)

4. Hot Air Ballooning in Jaipur

Flying in the open air always fascinates human beings. Hot Air Balloon ride in Jaipur is one such interesting activity. This ride, takes you over the desert of Jaipur and surrounding places giving you the Arial view of the place like a bird. You get to watch the hidden historical palaces and monuments of the place from the top angle. You will love floating in the air all along the flow of wind. The ride is completely safe and much enjoyable.  

Since, Jaipur is reasonably hotter place, the best time to take the experience of hot air ballooning is October to May. Mostly, this one hour ride is available in early morning or evening, so that you don’t feel excessive heat of the sun.

5. Caving in Meghalaya

Caving in Meghalaya is like an “out of the world” experience. Located in the North-Eastern part of India, Meghalaya is abundant in limestone deposits. Under the supervision of trained and experienced cavers, you get to see beautiful waterfalls and majestic mountains. Most of the times, you walk along the path but at some places, you may need to cross the path by swimming. This is one of the most happening adventure trip of the place. Shnong Rim area, Krem Mawkhydrop, Krem Dam, Krem Lymput and Krem Mawjymbuin are some of the key options to be explored. December to March is the ideal time to visit Meghalaya and indulge in this mesmerizing activity.

Once you are in Meghalaya, you would not want to miss the wild life, Flora and fauna and enchanting scenic views of the place.

 

6. Skiing and Snowboarding in Gulmarg

Gulmarg – Jammu and Kashmir, is known as heaven on earth. Gulmarg hosts the ski lift in the world of about 4000 metres. The ski hill is reached with the help of Gondola with the summit of Mt. Apharwat. The ski terrain is unlimited offering alpine, chutes, cornices and glacier skiing. If you’re an expert ski rider, then it will be the most thrilling experience. The Skiing in Glumarg is a blend of implausible Curry powder skiing and the exceptional generous Kashmiri culture that makes it one the most adventurous & worthy skiing experience in the entire world.
