This hike provides Olympic Mountain views an opportunity to explore a beach on Hood Canal , and a house built in a stump!
Have you ever been inside a stump house? This is your chance! Just outside of Seabeck, Washington lies a hobbit stump house tucked into a mossy forest on the shores of Guillemont Cove. Drive to Seabeck, turn right onto Miami Beach Road, bear left onto Stavis Bay road and continue for 4.5 miles. The trailhead is on the left hand side of the road. Hike down to the cove on a wide dirt trail and listen to the wildlife of the forest. Once you reach the meadow, turn right to explore the beach and see views of the Olympic Mountains. Or, turn left at the meadow and continue past the abandoned barn to see the stump house. Explorers of all ages will love this adventure!

A good quickie hike. The stump house was a little disappointing, was expecting it to be bigger. This is a good one to do after work on the way home for some evening exercise or to take the dog on a walk.
