Description

Added by Annelise A

A great location for rock climbing that's close to town and close to multiple trailheads.

Rock Canyon, unsurprisingly, has a ton of great, local rock climbing routes for those in the Provo area.

The marked location is for the parking lot. Once you're parked, head into the canyon. You will start to see bolts and anchors—and, depending on when you go, climbers—a few minutes in.

There are 451 climbs (!!!) in Rock Canyon, including trad, top rope, and bouldering, with the majority being sport climbs. There are a wide variety of ratings, too, so you should be able to find a climb that works for you no matter your skill level. Mountain Project can give you exact directions to each climb and even has a filter to help you sort through all the hundreds of climbs based on style, difficulty, etc.

Rock Climb in Rock Canyon Reviews

I Started Rock Climbing here This Past summer, and it is great. there are a lot of different routes for everyone, (meaning Difficulty Level). And the Approaches are too bad either.

There’s something for everyone here, including beginners like me! One of the first places I ever climbed—& I loved it! Great place to meet other climbers, too.
