Description

Added by Scott Kranz

Arches National Park has the largest collection of arches in the world, making this a great hike to not only explore the renowned Double Arch, but to take in quite a few others as well.

The hike to Double Arch is a relatively flat and easy hike of 0.5 miles roundtrip. You can add this to the rest of the quick spots you may want to visit on your visit to Arches.
This arch is created by two arches that shares the same stone as the foundation for their outer legs. This arch was formed by downward water erosion as opposed to the more common side-to-side erosion.

The good news is that there's a fair amount of parking at the parking lot, because visitors also tend to park there to visit the Windows section of the park.

Double Arch Reviews

Go sit under these two arches. Being under two towering rock features with the sun casting shadows on you is incredible. And the "hike" is super short so it would be silly to miss this arch during your visit to Arches National Park.

It's really not much of a walk to get out to Double Arch. You can see the pair of arches from the road, but they're really worth taking the 5 minutes to head out to and stand under! Very large and impressive formations!

If you have the chance to go up to Double Arch at night it is perfect for taking star photos. You also will not have to deal with the crowds it gets during the day.
