Only 15 minutes north of St George and only a 2.5 mile hike in with views that rival Angel's Landing in Zion.

With a large and easy pull off parking lot that can accommodate any car, the trailhead is easily marked.  The first 2 miles of the trail through Pinion forests are easy, all-be-it very rocky, with minor elevation gains, though they are somewhat lacking in views.  At just about the 2 mile point you will need to take the left fork that heads to the overlook.  The trail becomes more sandy at this point.  After half a mile this trail leads you into a stunning natural amphitheater of rocks with white sand and plenty of places to sit down.  There is a fire pit here that I have used on a number of occasions.  Another 25 yards past this area leads you to the edge of 500 foot cliffs with views that would rival those of Zion National Park.  The overlook is situated just north of Snow Canyon State Park and St George and, as such, overlooks both.  From here you can enjoy a birds-eye-view over the towering red and white sandstone cliffs of Snow Canyon.
