For students in high school, this 22-day wilderness journey is the perfect summer adventure to learn new skills and explore a beautiful part of the world. This course takes students into some of the oldest mountains in the world, over rocky mountain faces and through racing rivers. Each crew will work together to navigate through lush forests, cook meals, set-up camp in the backcountry and navigate rushing mountain rivers by canoe.Another important aspect of this course is service. Whether maintaining trails, partnering with nonprofits or helping at local farms and gardens, time spent complete service projects help students discover the true meaning of giving back to their community, the value of compassion and their ability to lead.
