With crystal blue waters, rugged mountain peaks, and amazing wildlife, Maligne Lake is one of those special places you’ll never forget. It’s hard to pick a single location to call the most beautiful campsite in Jasper National Park - there is plenty of competition - but Maligne Lake is definitely a front-runner.

One of the best parts about the campsites at Maligne Lake is that they are only accessible by boat. You can rent kayaks or canoes to reach the campsites or go out for a boat tour. If you do take a boat tour, be sure to check out Spirit Island, especially if you’re a photographer.

Because the campsites are more remote than typical car-camping spots, there is an abundance of amazing wildlife. If you consider yourself an angler, be sure to bring your fishing gear, too!
