Relatively short, invigorating hike. The waterfall only runs during and following rainy spells. There's lots of interesting rock formations along the trail. Lots of ups and downs and somewhat uneven footing, so I agree with the intermediate level rating.

The park is full grand old trees, with the Tree of Life is the granddaddy of them all. If you are in the vicinity or even staying downtown, this is worth the 25 or 30 minute drive or ride.

Great hikes to both the top and bottom of the falls, with the top being a beginner level hike and the bottom more intermediate. Totally worth it to jump in the water at the end.
